Road: Follow the Pacific Highway for approximately four hours north of Sydney and approximately six and half hours south from Brisbane. Port Macquarie is 10km off the Pacific Highway on the coast at the mouth of the Hastings River. The highway is progressively being upgraded to a dual highway/freeway between Sydney and Brisbane.

Air: Canberra based regional airline Brindabella Airlines have announced the introduction of the BAE J41 Jetstream Aircraft to their fleet. The J41 will have the capacity to carry 30 passengers, 3 crew members including a flight attendant. With a cruise speed of 540km/hour the J41 is the fastest and by far the most fuel efficient aircraft in its class.
Brindabella Airlines offers up to two return services per day from Port Macquarie to Brisbane, Coffs Harbour and Newcastle with connections onto Canberra. The first routes for the BAE J41 aircraft will be Newcastle to Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and Brisbane on a date to be announced in the near future.
